Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS)

As part of the Balaha group vision and expansion plans, a new factory has been put up, using latest German technology/equipment with a production capacity of about 5 lakh TPA of high quality GGBS. Located at Gollapuram, AP, about 100 km from Bangalore, the unit has commenced its commercial production from early 2017.

GGBS is considered as a “GREEN” product and is manufactured by using Slag, which is a waste by product of steel industry. GGBS is used in construction and it partially replaces cement. Since cement manufacturing is carbon intensive, GGBS usage helps reducing cement usage and the related carbon footprint.

Under the brand name “OM”, GGBS is available for supply to both domestic and export markets.

The group has its plant at Kazipally, Medak (DT), Telangana State for more than three decades and catering the needs of its valued customers.
